About Assist Housing

A local provider with a simple purpose.

We exist to make sure people in Birmingham have a safe, decent home and the support they need to thrive in it.

Our story

Based in Erdington, serving Birmingham.

Assist Housing is a social housing and supported accommodation provider based at 515 Slade Road, Erdington. We provide homes for adults who are vulnerable, facing homelessness or in need of a fresh start.

Our team combines housing management experience with genuine care. We manage a growing portfolio of shared and self-contained properties, each furnished and maintained so residents can settle in from day one.

We work alongside Birmingham City Council, probation services, mental health teams, hospitals and voluntary organisations to ensure every resident has a joined-up network around them.

In the community

Working with Erdington's food banks.

A roof is only part of it. We partner with Bethany Food Bank and Hope Food Bank so that residents — and neighbours — who go without a meal have a nearby, dignified place to turn.

Bethany Food Bank

We share news of local appeals and collection points, and make sure residents know exactly how to reach a food parcel when a week turns tight.

Hope Food Bank

We signpost residents and neighbours alike, so help sits close to home rather than across the city.

  • We tell residents about nearby food banks, and how to use them, so nobody goes without a meal in silence.
  • We pass on donations raised by our team and by residents who want to give something back.
  • We stay in close contact with the people doing this work, so a referral or a piece of advice moves quickly.
  • We listen to what our partners tell us about local need, and let it shape the support we offer.
